not to be funny, but (you guys are probably bored with this) in the going one 11 years of swinging and meeting people through it and now going on 20 years of meeting people from the net, the sites that worked the best were all free sites.
The problems that are referred to will not be fixed with making this a pay site, the swingers sites that are pay sites (and we have been on the well known ones for extended periods) have the same problems, just magnified. People for some reason think that because they paid to be members they are now ENTITLED and GUARANTEED to meet people purely for sex without having made any previous contact, if you tell them that from profile you are not interested they take exception as they have PAID to meet you and PAID to have sex with you, that entitlement perception is even stronger and therefore much worse when meeting someone in person as they then have that same attitude but directly in your face - basically they see it as a brothel setup BUT with membership fee for a year and therefore unlimited access at the price of going to a brothel once or twice. There has not been a single exception of the above on any paid site that we have been members of.
The free sites that we have been members of have with a few exceptions not had the issue that I described above, the best two sites that we have been members of have both been free sites, this one is included in the best two.
I must add that the other free site did go out of business, with about 15 000 members the revenue generated from adds (very small number of advertisers) was minimal, so to expect the owners of this site to carry it indefinitely is unreasonable. I don't think anyone would mind banner ads or advertising of services or goods, in fact it may well make life easier for those that want to buy things but don't want to go into sex stores. To be honest this is a niche market that has yet to be exploited (but not abused).
On that basis if this were to become a paid site, we would see how it goes, but to be honest and from our previous experiences, would probably leave it after a few months

Its about preference, as for the first post statements of "TRUE swingers", true swinging is keeping to what you enjoy and giving the others in the community the freedom to do what they enjoy without judging them, if you have a difference of needs or likes/dislikes, rather find someone else.

As for Lee's comments on most people here being relatively new, I cant agree more and its people who judge - or lambaste - them because they are cautious that givers them experiences which are unpleasant.
