We dont live in a perfect country by any means. however you need to examine where all of this started. My comment was not a broad based one or a political one but one that pertains to swinging.
Im not going to lower mysrlf to get into this because a forum actually lacks the platform for an actual debate.

You know my issue is not so much that its there, rather than not giving somebody the opportunity purely based on the colour of skin.
This shows that we lack something very integral as a society.
interracial is one thing but what about the "colour barrier"? Since when is skin colour a barrier. I laugh everytime.
Anyways i think its more a societal statement than anything else.
Strange thing is that ive seen the profiles of many of these and i dont upset myself because most of them dont live up to my standards.

This countries past was not my fault, it was not my children's fault, hell, it was not even my parents fault. So why then I ask you, are we having to pay the price for "correcting" the past?
If the good people of SA really want equality, then things have to be equal.
The past will never heal, when the present is continuously reminding us of the past in the manner in which it does.
And I think if one spent a little time in history lessons, one would discover that there are many countries who have worse histories than ours, who have made way more progress than we have.
At the moment, "Racism Sells" that is way you cannot even read the international SPORTS news without something in it being about racism.
There are people who have no issue with interracial encounters, look for them instead of trying to change the views of those who choose not to.

You were never blamed @sdmr. I can go into a long debate with you but I see it as fruitless. I think that's part of the problem, is this narrow minded approach. I'm actually a bit surprised at your age because your reasoning, which depicts a level of intellect is not becoming of somebody your age.

Let me tell you a story: I was approached by the Police Training College in Benoni. They asked me to tender on a contract to modify 36 vehicles for training purposes. I filled in the documents and submitted my quotation. I was told that my quotation is the best out of 7 quotes. My work carries a great reputation. I am the only person in the country with knowledge and experience to undertake the work as it is a specialised trade and I do hold the bulk of the market in South Africa... Yet I was denied the contract as I was not level 7 BBE! That was the reason given.
I have a patent on my product and I have manufacturing and installing dual controls and hand controls in cars for 14 years. There are three people in the country that do this, the other two are backyard and a large percentage of my orders are me removing their systems and fitting mine. I get cars from all over the country and even from African countries. It truly is a specialised trade.
I was then contacted a month later by a man who repairs breaks in cars. He asked me to quote on fitting dual control systems in 36 vehicles for the S.A.P. As he was awarded a contract but has no clue how to manufacture and install these systems.. Guess what, he was a black man. I denied him my services obviously... Do not talk to me about racism!

I am pretty unbiased. I somewhat agree with itseuggp. That line as unneccassary as it is, it's right at the top of some profiles, in caps.
In all honesty most of them I wouldnt consider anyway, so no sweat off my back.

It's simple and I state fact, this issue is more prevalent in South african society in general due to our past, compared to other countries in the world.
The second point is to plainly put that you won't meet somebody based on skin colour is absurd without even having met the person or given them the chance.
IF it's about attraction in sure I can find pics of non white males and or females that would make these people drool.
My point is at least be open to meeting them, if you not happy then cool but you closing down an opportunity based on a generalisation.

I don't think that was the point tho, the same handful of people on here means that you never going to have a buzzing forum because we that are contributing to the forum are too few.
I don't have an issue with it being the same people but we literally need to be doubling the number of forum contributors to keep it fresh. It's an economies of scale thing.

You are right this forum is dead. If you read the posts vs views stats it's very sad. It's always the same people. Not sure why the other members almost never post.
