How can you recognize swingers in a restaurant or bar? Is the upside down pineapple and black ring on righthand still a thing?

Pineapple is actually more the swingers sign. Perhaps a necklace, keyring, on your handbag somewhere, etc..
Yeah i asked all my friends if they knew what it meant and none of them were able to identify that it means "swinging", i guess any normal person wouldn't really know what it means, there must be easier ways to show and identify.

Anklet?
Anklets are slightly tougher unless they not moving like a coffee shop or something. From all the anklets I've spotted only one was without a doubt a hotwife anklet as it had the Queen of Spades displayed and the fact that they were sitting with another gentleman.
So the Mrs and I have been discussing something like this (especially to be used in a public setting to possibly dip the toes in without needing to go to a swinger's club - call it a possible gateway drug ;) So we've come up with these possible options, but think it would be nice if we could all settle on 2 (just easier to remember):
1) Drinking wine with a straw
2) Placing a cherry/olive on your napkin
3) Ordering two of the same drink and placing one in front of you
4) Wearing a necklace backwards, with the pendant hanging down your back
5) Two straws in one drink, even if you're alone
6) Draping your napkin over the back of your chair instead of your lap
7) Playing with your stir stick, like putting it in your hair or behind your ear
I personally like 2, 5 and 6. What do you all think?
It seems the pineapple tattoo idea is catching on in SA, especially with couples. It's easy to get one that's visable, small and is easy to explain to vanilla's who you know for a fact is vanilla. Both my wife and I are gearing up to get pineapple tattoo's on the back of our hands. It's an idea and easilly recognized by fellow swingers.
Problem is, general population tend to grab and make an idea popular before anyone gets the meaning. Then when the meaning gets revealed, everyone has this identity tag and it loses its effectiveness. 😫
So, at one point I heard that garden dwarfs is a sure sign. But would one just approach and ask? Yeah, I love black eyes 🤣🤣

I always look at cars and wonder who on the raods are open-minded... had plenty ideas on how we can possibly id each other by labling vehicles with interesting stickers or something.
I think the things that could become fashionable in a sense (pineapples, toe rings, and/or black rings) become diluted by the general public, so it doesnt give someone that wants to approach a clear enough sign. What we like about other ideas that require effort (albeit very minimal) is that people will have to go out of their way to show this, but vanillas wont be doing it - helping those that want to approach by being able to do it with confidence.
So, from now on, we are going to be drinking with two straws in one drink, draping our napkins/serviettes over either the back of our chairs, or folding them over the corner of our tables.
We will do it specifically at the Local Kitchen Co/Fu Bar at Fourways Golf Place in Jhb in an attempt to make this a generally known concept in South Africa. Disclaimer: we dont go all too often, but hopefully we wont be the only ones buying into this concept and we can build a bit of a community. Feel free to mention other restaurants that you would like to do this at
