Scammer profiles - how to generaly spot them, and what to do.

Hello All

This is a general message to all new and current members on what to look out for for scammer profiles.

Scammer profiles are usually; new profiles, young (20-30 yo), single female profiles, with a very limited one line bio, usually 1 sexy pic (to draw you in). They usually have something in the lines of "Im new here, looking for a good time, lets chat" etc. When do do chat with them, they usually immediately want to take you off site, by either supplying a chat link, or asking for other forms of contact details. Once they have these details, they ask for nudes, or full nudes etc.

And this is where they have you.
Once they have your full nudes (with face) they start to blackmail you saying that they want X rands/currency or they will post your explicit media on public platforms etc etc.

PLEASE... Do not fall for this.

Do not supply any form of external contact details.

Do not send full nudes to someone you've had 1 chat with.

Remember their aim is to scare you into paying. Their bark is worse than their bite.

IF this happens, please report them immediately and include any and all text / information in the report.

And also lodge a support ticket with IT so that the site can keep track of their IP's and ban them accordingly.

Also to note, that sometimes these single female profiles are legitimate, and they are just unsure and dont want to type much. That is why although these scammer profiles can usually be spotted, you are never 100% sure, until they start the scam.

So please, please please.. be wary and use some common sense.

Very wise words my friend, some questions asked by them also just makes it a no brainer that they are Scammers, unfortunate a lit of the males think with the wrong head when reading these profiles.

The easiest way is to do a reverse picture search or check the background for non-RSA items

Also, as additional warning, for many unaware of todays technology.

You do not want to have face pics on public section of your profile. It is very easy to run face recognition searches across FB and Linked etc to find you and then attempt to extort you with threat of pay up or else will out you to work, family and friends etc.

Also, single guy and couple profiles are also potential risks. A profile I reported to police was that of a single guy, white and was even verified yet was a nigerian extortion ring.

Something from a woman's perspective:

Women won't post their faces openly. We are too aware of the dangers of being stalked. So if the profile pic is a face, it's probably a scammer.

Profile descriptions also give them away sometimes. My advice would be to chill on the full face pic until you've established they are real, and be aware of what kind of info you give out.

This might not entirely fit into the "scammer" part of this post, and probably more into the "fake profile" genre, but generally when a message or two has been sent, no real information about the type of person the couple (or single member) is looking for and then suddenly "send pics" . . . .

I should have added that it's a combination of things. Usually a very vague description and a lot of pic sharing right from the start. But even that is not set in stone.

Over the last 10 years weve met some amazing couples. This website has only been good to us We consider any profile fake till proven otherwise .. Vouches are Vital .Club owners like Kev of Prevalage or Bella from Nexxus are also a vital link. Effort counts, Incomplete profiles and online for years ..Blocked...

This is always a difficult question, even as a single profile, there is so many fake profiles that i come across so often, i would suggest being totally authentic and as you journey in this space, editing your profile as you go, liking profiles that you resonate with or blocking profiles that you don't resonate with and especially with the exchange of media . We're still seeing a large number of complaints about blackmail attempts. In every case the conversation has been taken offsite so there's nothing we can do other than ban the profile.

If you've been subjected to this tactic please report it on the platform where it took place so they can deal with it.

Of course, the best thing is not to be pulled offsite in the first place.

Perpetrators can also project, implicate and frame innocent people. They can dig up enough information on a innocent individual who is known to them and utilise it to project onto the innocent individual which mitigates suspicion and attention. They use team work to confuse the situation also

Sometimes perpetrators can stage or setup a robbery to obtain information to carry out their plans. Information can be obtained from documents stolen.

I have been bullied by a some individuals on the site from 2017. They utilised kindness for weakness and went through my personal space using the pretense of making a call to enquire about a sick child. The individuals also took funds to take a child to the doctor. It was later mentioned by a close friend of the individual that the funds were utilised for the individuals addictions and lifestyle. There are numerous other events that took place. I am patiently awaiting justice.

We must name and shame them. And those who don't show up please

So, I had a "date" with one of these suspected scammer profiles last night, fits the OP's description to a tee ... of course I got stood up !

As soon as I sent "her" a Tele_gra_m message to ask if she is ok, she blocked me and deleted the conversation.

Keep your distance from bunnygirlbabe ...

Perhaps we should all stick to verified profiles, but then again, so few people do verification ...
