In the world of today, with its technological advancement and ease of access, its very much not just a matter of somebody you know finding out, but about the very real risk of criminal sindicates using your face pics here to find you on social media and absolutely wreck your life if you dont cough up the blackmail ransom in exhange for not outting you to friends, work etc.
Not to mention same people using your details, face, facebook etc to scam other ppl and leave you looking like the culprit, identity theft etc. Cybercrime folks. Be careful, least of your worries is a friend finding your profile, as honestly, only way they saw it is if they on here too.
Edit: And yes, personal experience, although ours was through a profile making contact, we dont have public facepics. Did our usual due diligence and ended up reporting a nigerian extortion sindicate masquerading as a single white guy to police, turned out they'd been on police radar for a while and ended up arrested a couplr weeks later.
