I don't know about anyone else on this site , but I find that the majority of the people are just on this site to get a cheap thrill , as soon as you mention hooking up all the excuses come out and you never hear from them again, I wish there was a good fast rule to make sure you are going to meet some people with the same mindset and goals of actually meeting and going through with what they like to chat about, wishful thinking or prove me wrong !! Am I the only one that feels this way ?

Rant: So many fakes and picture seekers

There are so many treads on this topic go and search for them and then you can decide.
But in short read the profile very good and make sure the profile is verified. Good tip, looked how many people verified the profile, the more the better.

I my self am not verified. I do not agree at all that a verified profile means the person or couple is less likely to be fake.
There a many couples on this site that I have met socially, and for play dates.
And after checking now, all but one of the profiles
Of people I have met and not verified.
Fakes and picture collectors are not linked to verification. It's down to character.
Verification on SH is down to proving the person/a in pics are who the claim to be. Not verifyin the people are genuine

The person asked for some advise, and i give my opinion, but yes i totally not agree with you on the verification system, its exactly what it mean that you are real and alive and that you met people that can vouch for it.
Go and read the verification system, there are two types of verification nl.
Image verification that means you looked like your photo.
Members verification that means a verified member of the site verify you that you are real.
But i am not from admin to argue over the merritt of the system
But thanks that we can differ in life, and we learn a lot about it in the last few years

I agree with Adonis,
While verification is not the be all and end all, it is a tool in the hunt to find those that are not fake. If people get verified and have other verified people they have met verify them, its is a clear indication that they are who they claim to be, not that you may get along or have any chemistry. The more people that verify a profile the more certain you can be that at least that profile are meeting others who would have quickly discovered if they were fake.
Now Funwithcouples, I use you as an example only, because you have commented. Your claim that you have met with other couples remains a claim when someone looks at your profile, Nobody is saying you fake, but without those couples confirming that you are real, we only have your word.
The verification system is not perfect, it begins with a mod, confirming you match your profile. People then know that at a minimum if you claim to be a couple in your 40's, that this is likely to be true and after seen you on cam that you match your photo's in overall appearance.
The real verification system then allows others to confirm they have met you and you are not a fake. The more people who can confirm this, the higher the likelihood that you can place some confidence in the profile you viewing.
The verification system is not there to exclude people, but we should all be encouraging people to use it, by verifying our friends and those we have met, we can create an environment were the honest people will want to be verified and the dishonest will continue to hide.
I would however warn, don't judge a newbie on verification alone. But if someone has been around for a year or two, claims to be active, yet not one person has made an effort to verify them, we all need to place a question mark behind their name, and at least use the site facilities to get to know them a bit better before committing to a meet.

The only way to verify a fellow member for your own peace of mind is through meeting.
I do believe the photo verification process instilled on here ( I am photo verified ) is as important and I think that should be highlighted.
No verification on any site should assume that the member is genuine but the steps above will assist in proving members are.

not to be funny, we have been verified and it does mean that people are more likely to be who they say they are, you try and get verified as a couple with only one of you present.........
It answers nothing!They are saying that if the profile is a "couple" one, it's impossible to get picture verified without both parties actually genuinely participating.
Ie. A photo verification eliminates all the guys pretending to be a couple, and using some chick's/their wife's pictures to fake a couple profile.
