We've all encountered the last-minute cancellation. What's the strangest cancellation excuse someone gave you. Mine was a team building that the person forgot about an hour before we were supposed to meet. I also got it's my mom's birthday and we having a last minute supper. Please note this is not a name and shame post. Just curious to find out what excuses you received

The worst kind is the ones who disappear whilst you are waiting at the arranged pub. Phone is off. No explanation. Gone. Never hear from them again. Probably blocked them.

I always wonder if they got to the door, saw us and then got cold feet, or if they never even left their house...

Surely not. One look at you and I would be right in.

It's probably the ones who "has this fantasy", but they lack the courage to perform, so they never actually meet anyone. But they are also usually the ones that complain about "nobody wanting to meet up" 😆

It enrages us! Why not just say (or realise) they don’t have the courage to meet? Happens far too often to members on here. I think SH should block peeps reported doing this… how about?

Unfortunately it gets misused for revenge, so they don't allow it.

The adage of the dog chasing the car rings true. What does the dog do if he actually catches the car? I reckon it is the same for some people. They have been talking or fantasizing for a long time about meeting other couples or singles, and then they actually land a meeting. What now? You have to go meet them and they might want to meet again for sex? Run!!! Either that or mommy doesn't know what you are doing... Experienced that.

As the Cheeky one said, it can be used unfairly. Another site we used to be on had a profile upvote and downvote option. If someone didn't like your profile or they are part of a cohort that was not what you were looking for (sexual orientation, couple, single, whatever), you could be treated to a downvote from someone you have never communicated with before. Rather keep it positive.

this is so comon. well it happens to most 99% of the time. we dont bother anymore. block and move on
