About 25 years ago, she experienced a traumatic stalker incident with the male member of a couple which ended in us taking out restraining orders, completely leaving the lifestyle and eventually leaving the country! Even now, it’s something she’s very embarrassed about (picture going into one of SA's police stations and explaining the situation to a constable with the sensitivity of a brick!), and just mentioning it can make her shut down and withdraw. It’s taken a lot of time and discussions to get back to where we are now, but she’s ready to explore again—slowly, safely, and with the right people. But there are scars.
