It has been described as "consensual, ethical, and responsible non-monogamy".
People who identify as polyamorous believe in an open relationship with a conscious management of jealousy; they reject the view that sexual and relational exclusivity are necessary for deep, committed, long-term loving relationships.
Polyamory has come to be an umbrella term for various forms of non-monogamous, multi-partner relationships, or non-exclusive sexual or romantic relationships.
Its usage reflects the choices and philosophies of the individuals involved, but with recurring themes or values, such as love, intimacy, honesty, integrity, equality, communication, and commitment.

I am in a very loving and honest, open, polyamorous marriage. My Wife and I have 2 young kids so time is limited but given enough notice, we can plan accordingly.

We meet separately as well as together.  I would consider exploring possibilities with any straight couple or female. Should an opportunity arise where my wife, and I find a like-minded couple or single person, we are open to play once a connection has been established.

Our Marriage and kids will always come first. We are not jealous or possessive in any way and we expect the same. Our individual or joint partners are free to have their own individual / joint partners. Respect is of the utmost importance.
