This preference comes from our own experiences in the lifestyle. Unfortunately, our experiences with both single ladies and self-proclaimed unicorns haven't been positive.

To the self-proclaimed unicorns: we've often found that some arrive with far more drama and emotional baggage than we're comfortable with. We've also encountered people who seem to think they need to analyse our relationship or become our unofficial relationship or life coach. We don't need that. We're in a happy, secure relationship, and we're simply looking for people who add to our enjoyment—not complications.

To the single ladies: we've noticed that many treat the lifestyle more like a dating app than a lifestyle community. That's perfectly fine if that's what you're looking for, but it isn't what we want. My partner is exactly that—my partner—and our relationship is our priority. We're not interested in situations where someone tries to create emotional attachments, competition, or distance between us.

We're here to experience the lifestyle together, to meet genuine people, and to enjoy shared experiences built on trust, respect, and clear boundaries.
