If anyone blocks you then both profiles are hidden to all parties.

Don't think that's possible as if you block a profile it becomes non readable and non contactable.

We try reply to all messages even if its sorry but no thanks, which often opens the door for an attempted negotiation which ends in us blocking the person, 

But many are not on the Gold membership so cant reply to all messages as they limited to I think 5 a day/24 hour period which may not allow replies.
