its not just you, you are on the right track, these guys actually make it easier for you to eliminate upfront, and make it just as hard for the real ones, i like what you mention in your profile, build a repoire and take it from there, now that is building or establishing a connection,

This is always a difficult question, even as a single profile, there is so many fake profiles that i come across so often, i would suggest being totally authentic and as you journey in this space, editing your profile as you go, liking profiles that you resonate with or blocking profiles that you don't resonate with and especially with the exchange of media . There must be a better way of veryfying the profiles, I had the same with a couple from PmB as well as a lady from PTA. There are way too many scammers on the site .
