On the north end of Strand beach is a reserve/ marine protected area. Access is only by foot, there are no houses or cars, and one has to cross the Lourens River to access the beach. On weekdays it's usually pretty quiet and the visibility is good - one can see people coming 1-2 km up the beach. It's an ideal spot for a quick skinny dip or some fun in the dunes or bushes. It would almost be the perfect location for a nude beach, though we all know conservative Strand wouldn't allow it.
