its not about age for my wife either. she always say that age isnt a factor, but she also doesnt want to have sex with someone that is her fathers age, the old toppie is also 65, so i guess shes got a valid point.

I generally don't go for any guy under 30... what can I say? - I'm attracted to older guys... always have been, even in my teens. It's the salt and pepper and the laugh lines... show me a guy who has those and is under thirty... he's probably been squinting in the sun in a prison line gang....

I don't think age is a factor but I won't go over 50. My parents are around that age and it just seems weird to go beyond that but that's just me. I think it plays a part in general with most couples but I think if you play your cards right you should find age can be looked over.

Most people seem to be comfortable with a 10 year spread either way of there own age. While there are always exceptions I think this is the group you have the most in common with and therefore its easier to relate. People also seem to be influenced in some way by the age of their parents and children and tend to feel uncomfortable with getting to close to these age groups.
Ria prefers to stay away from under 30's as its to close to our son's age and I don't really know what i would do with a young 20'something female and for the life of me can't imagine why she would be interested in an old fat man.
Some like them older some like them younger, at the end of the day its a personal preference like body type, attitude and all the other little things that do it for us. Its a choice people make that we should respect without question.

I don't mind the age but my wife prefers men our age and definitely not under 50

Preference I guess, I am not really attracted to older men, my dad is a goodlooking 54 year old but I would never go for men his age, it feels creepy. I must confess I like younger men but my cut off is no younger than 25 though. But they have to be manly, not fragile and childlike in physical appearance and be mature. As I always say "I like my pussy and penis to come with a personality". Now that's not to say that guys younger than 30 or older than 55 don't have a personality, however, what I mean by my statement is that I want to be able to hold a conversation with folk who have similar life experiences as they are more likely to 'get me' than those who don't. So I am generally attracted to guys around my own age.

Age is a factor but it shouldn't be... I tend to date young girls because I connect with them. I am a hard working professional by day, a father of two (I have custody) and the man of my house... But I can party a night away like a 20year old, so it makes sense for me to date 20year olds.
As for age in the swinging scene: I think it just comes down to personal preference and even some fear of what to expect because of generalisation. There is Brad Pitt and the Greek guy with the comb over that owns the local green grocer.. Both the same age. When someone says "no over 40 please" they probably assume the latter will pitch up. My girlfriends father is 7 years older than me, he looks exactly like Tom Cruise (scary resemblance actually). He looks my age.
With ladies, there are the "milfs" and the "not so milfs"... People assume a 45year old lady will look like the head nurse at the local government hospital. Men tend to keep their years better than women (not all, but those that take care of themselves) so it seems more common to find older guys with younger girls than the other way around. I personally find older women attractive if they have taken care of themselves.
My personal opinion: Age is just a number!

Spot on Mrs Cat. Age may be a number but we need to have a lot in common and so far we have only found that with people closer to our age. The other issue is that we have young ones so it makes socializing a lot easier with people who have the same situation kids and age wise.
