Hotels / venues for meetups

Any recommendation for reasonably priced hotels for a meetup (in/near JHB).

We've had issues previously with the front desk allowing in 'extra guests' - so maybe a recommendation where reception doesn't face the entrance / lifts.

Hi we like Sandton sun coz you can enter from the mall and skip reception and we have never had a problem. you will just have to meet them at the bar coz you need your room key to get up to the rooms

But I do know the swinger club Nexus you can book rooms at for playing during day and by the hour that's what another member told us we have not try yet

Amsterdam also has rooms you can use, but a hotel is usually more central
