O boy do I feel silly! I've always wondered how the group members of a group comunicate with each other. Besides if you like only wanted to contact one of the group members, I mean if you wanted to share stories or camping places with all the members!
And then browsing the groups again this afternoon I notice the share and forum tabs!!!!! But now I wonder how many of the ppl actually know about it and use it?
O well, from now on I sure am going to use it, lets hope we get some responses there!
I do not know about it, on my way to investigate.
Thanks for letting us know.
I do not really belong to a *group* though.. well let me go see....
ahhh okay found my 2 groups I joined....
NOTHING interesting happening in there, nothing in the forums , but asking for fun connections...
So NOPE I will not use mine.
E_N thanks for showing that option to me.
Enjoy your groups.
Most of the groups I am part of don't have much happening either, that's why I wonder how many actually know about it!
Hi E-N,
I too was blissfully unaware of the groups fora. But it looks like most of the group members (of the few groups that I have "joined") are also unaware. To be honest, there are a few individual postings (starting topics, inviting interest, etc), but very little response, so it seems that these fora are not something that many people keep an eye on.
I avidly read ALL the general forum postings (don't always respond) - always interested to see what folk have to say - but the groups fora are a bit tucked away, so needs a bit more effort to get to them. After checking for messages, I check to see if there are any new stories, and then I go straight to Forum to see what people have had to say since last I logged on...
Would be good if there was some way of alerting group members that there was something new posted on the group's forum...? Like a little flag that pops up next to "Groups" under the My Account menu, similar to the red "you have a message" signal?

Redbruce , you give a good solution to the forums in groups.
I have found from another site...that groups gets started , BUT not maintained!!! Takes up space and us browser junkies on anything written is always disappointed with them.
Evey one joins to see what the group is about. So the members becomes a LOT...but nothing happens in the groups.
I would think any group that is not active for 2 months from starting up,should automatically be deleted. And I am not saying the members joining is active...I mean forums and such posted...like the general chat in the open forums are receiving.
I also think Redbruce's sugestion about members being notified is good idea. Since some of the groups specifically gets set up to meet ppl in your area, or who love the same things, such as having fun on camping trips. And their member should be able to use the forums to sare experiences or arrange meetings. How els wil one know which camping places are nice to go to for more privacy than most ect.
