Once again we have targeting going on in our recently peaceful forums. A few of us distanced ourselves for while because of this sort of thing but could not resist coming back... Now another Newby walking in broad chested. :twisted:
Envy and jealousy of others is a horrible thing in today's society. I personally enjoy hearing about the achievements of others. Success stories are wonderful. A much too large percentage of the world's population are under achievers and the entire planets economies suffer under this. Every now and then you hear of people who have made their lives great. Just about all have done it on their own steam and have worked damn hard to get where they are.
My parents never cared where I end up so I have to pave my own path from a very young age. I paid my own studies with income from small yet successful business I opened at age 16. I had a helping hand as a big chunk of my mother's side of the family worked for large battery company (the large battery company, yes, like the one in your car right now)... I was awarded a contract and made my first R100k by August 1994 (while I was studying!!), a lot of money for the time and my age. A Lot more money came after that... And I still kept on studying and achieving while making bucks!
I worked and studied and socialised and fitted it all in. I achieved a lot in my young life. I am an extremely creative person and my thirst for knowledge is ongoing. If something interests me, then I find a way to achieve qualification in it. Studying is not the only way...
I am E.C.S.A registered and everything I do gains me CDP points. These points turn over in qualifications. There really is such a thing as Jack of all trades. I can build you a racing engine one week, the next week I can be tiling your bathroom, the week after that I could be spray painting your palisade fence, followed by me welding your buildings fire escape... I really can do it all and I am proud. I am the one they call in my circle of friends for any and all forms of assistance needed.
My qualifications are real and I am proud to have gained them in the time I did. I do not need to explain myself to someone who lays down an undertone of "you are a liar" in a post full of implications. I don't ever presume to know what a total stranger did in their life or how they did it. I am at the very least, extremely upset about that. The only conclusion I can draw is that people are envious of others maybe?
I drive cars that cost more than most people's houses and that because I worked damn hard for it in my life. Heck, I was the only one I knew of that drove to R.A.U in an M5, bought by me and not my daddy... I donate more to charity monthly than what most people earn! I have achieved success and nobody will batter me for it! I am a very intelligent person and I am damn proud of it. I know a lot about a lot because I am constantly studying, researching, learning... I live, I don't just exist.
My point here is: Be sure of your facts before challenging someone on their statements. Do not sneer at educated people. I take my hat off to people like Branson or Trump or Gates.

Since when does it really matter what a person earns or does in life to enjoy some serious connection and some serious playtime??? As long as there is a connection and attraction, then all is well.

Just to clarify for those curious about this post...
I was challenged on my qualifications and basically told that I could never have achieved that in the time I did. I cleared it up in that topic with an explanation on when and how I did it all, even though I did not owe an explanation. I did it to not look like a fool. It upset me so I made this post to attempt to repair damage done by someone who does not know me from a bar of soap.
I am just blowing off steam, I don't like it when people assume things and attempt to humiliate someone else. In short: I make sure of my facts before I call someone a liar...

Hi Stamina. Yip, I felt for you when you were "questioned" on the other thread.
When I was a lot younger, I was told that it was a good idea, before opening one's mouth, to ask three questions: is it true? is it kind? is it necessary?, and only then to make your comment or ask the question. And I've tried to apply that principle ever since. The world would probably be a happier place if more people did the same...

When someone pisses me off!!! I really wanna hurt that person then and have a very hard time to sometimes NOT say anything or just to walk away.
When someone really was given or has a *little power* and then that person abuses that *power* and goes to town on the people who can not do anything about that.
But to be this negative I also have to mention the things I am grateful for...
I do not have much money....but I owe NO ONE anything ,and like most of us,I have worked very hard to have what I posses. I have no monetary worries.
I have food and clothes and shelter every hour and minute of the day.
I have enough for my old age, and Know I will not have to end up on the corners of the streets,begging for a morsel of bread.
I can even provide for the feral and abused animals I look after.
I am alive, I am healthy as can be hoped for, I can move around if not with grace anymore, but I can still do many things for myself.
I have people I love and who I know loves me.
I still have my eyes to see the beauty of the world around me,specially when the day breaks and everyone is sleeping!!!
I can still have my hearing, and I can hear the music of life, to hear the first chirps of the birds and the waking of the world around me.
I am grateful to who and what I am.....I need not really be jealous of anyone.....I need not be small minded and I really do not have to envy anything anyone else has that I do not have.

Peoples perceptions of other people are largely formed from what they are told about the other person and maybe even from what other people say about the person . . . . . or simply from what they experience from the other person!

A)The original post was "what do you do for a living?, not "give us your CV"!
B)How did you ever achieve all of that without learning that what other people think or say is irrelevant to who you are?
C)Participating in this forum as long as you have should have inoculated you to negative or critical responses by now, surely?
D)Is this really the forum to debate the details of someone's financial or academic achievements?
E)I would rather read about the details of your success (or lack thereof) in seducing that hot co-worker into a threesome.
F)Killing defenseless animals with a rifle and scope does not strike me as a noble thing to do do.
G)Teaching people to defend themselves against other people with evil intentions is a noble thing to do.

Most smaller abattoirs slit the throat and the animal takes several minutes to bleed out. Marinated pork chops do not grow on trees, hunting an animal is no different than buying meat at a supermarket. Lets rather not go down this road...

We are all entitled to our opinions about things like meat, my question to any vegetarian would be, if you are so concerned for the animals well being, how come you are eating the food they need to survive?

If you feel there's " Targeting " going on in the Forum then report to a Site Mod or ADMIN, the Forum is not the place to post matters like this, post like this will result in encouraging the "accused" and I say accused strongly as I've not witnessed any " Targeting " occurring of late in the Forum TBH. My reply is of my own general opinion, I welcome your post
Just to clear up the "meat" comment, it is in the interest off all abbattoirs to slaughter animals as humanely as possible any stress causes the meat to be tainted!
No abbattoir I have visited (been to quite a few) kills an animal by cutting the throat all are killed by stun gun then bled.
Some of the smaller operations are the most modern in the country and why an experienced stunner would need 2 shots is beyond me.
Actually speak from a position of knowledge not heresay, remember the EU has the most stringent rules for export and inspect all parts of an operation hoping to export and yes u guessed it most exporting operations are the small guys.
