Unfortunately the respect will never return, the South African mentality (and particularly the male part) is way too immature (remember I am a male) and it is sad, because the chat room has the potential to fulfill many peoples needs.

SDMR yes you correct, but the Mods played a big part in it,they did not do there job and some off them are part off the problem.

There are intelligent well-mannered and gorgeous peops here who are FANTASTIC to talk with - in and out of the forums - LOVERLEY people - I LOVES you all! and I NEVER chat in the chatrooms - what a fantastic way to waste my bandwidth!
And you're right - I tried it a couple of times but people chat like half-brained morons who can't form sentences and there's so much "hi" and "bye" and "how are you" you never get any actual conversation going - I prefer to find nice people and chat on MSN/Gtalk or whatever. Having a peanut gallery clogging up the chat space with crap and random insults is just irritating.
I do suppose I should get around to "verifying myself" properly but truly - people now know me so I can't be arsed - there is no incentive and just getting my cam to work is a pain in the proverbial anyway - why should I go to the trouble just to be directed, insulted and for my bandwidth and data to be wasted by tossers... Nah - I'll stay here and I really honestly don't mind either way if the chatrooms are crap.

I have decided that the chat room is no longer for me either. You get the same people there all the time. The ones on cam just sit and do nothing at all. What are you trying to say? Another thing is that if you are not part of the "click" you will be ignored. Doesn't matter how friendly or nice and respectful you are. I have chatted to a few people there and if you don't cam then they ignore you.
IT IS A CHAT ROOM. Not a third degree porn site where people get their rocks off. Yes it is nice to see action sometimes but people should be there to chat and not drool and wank off.

Ek kan nie help om my ondervinding van die chatroom te deel nie. 'n Mens wil nie altyd in die verlede gesels nie maar ek kan die mense in die forum verseker daar was 'n tyd toe dit 'n plesier was om in die chatroom te gesels, daar was lang sinvolle gesprekke oor omtrent elke topic wat vandag in die forum bespreek word daar gevoer.
Jy kon met vrymoedigheid jou cam aansit en die aanmerkings wat gemaak word was sinvol.
Daar was mense wat uit hulle ondervinding en agtergrond, baie insiggewende raad kon gee en vrae is sinvol beantwoord. Mens het hulle persoonlike ondervindinge met mekaar gedeel self so af en toe bietjie simpatie gesoek. Baie goeie vriende is gemaak en daardie vriendskap geld vandag nog maar daar word op ander plekke gekomminikeer.
Mens sal my vra wat gebeur het en die antwoord is baie eenvoudig, Die mense wat hulle nie kon gedra en respek toon nie is daar en dan tereg gewys en sou hulle nie gehoor gee nie is daar ontslae geraak van die mense. Die grootse fout wat gemaak was is toe besluit is mense hoef nie meer te vra om ander mense te whisper nie. Stappe is geneem as jy die reel oortree.
Nou kan mense maak wat hulle wil en hulle kom niks oor nie. Sou jy kla oor 'n persoon wat beledigend was in whisper gebeur daar niks opsigtelik nie want die persoon word in whisper gewaarsku. Toe dit amper iets was soos "Name and Shame" het dit gewerk want almal kon sien wie is die skuldiges.
Ek mis ook die mense van toe. Soos jy sê, ons kon sinvolle en laaaaaang gesprekke oor alledagse dinge hê!
