a good giggle, sadly though some people would think things like that and miss the humour
PiB, I loved this very amusing post!! As someone who has a reasonable command of the English language, it is often amusing to me to see how words such as these can easily be "misinterpreted" by someone for whom English is not the first language (and I readily acknowledge that English is NOT a simple language, for someone who was not brought up speaking it - and even sometimes for people who were!!).
Your question 6 (about the G string) is one that often gives rise to some smiles in our circles!!
There is also a G string on a guitar, bass guitar and a number of other stringed instruments other than the fiddle (violin). On a guitar, it is the thinnest of the "wound strings", and so is the one which tends to snap the most often. I play guitar in a band, and often have fun referring to having a problem with "my G string", needing to be re-tuned or replaced, while pretending to adjust my underwear - interestingly, it's only the ladies that seem to blush!!
To be honest, I have never worn a G-string, and doubt that I ever will, remembering just how uncomfortable "wedgies" were from when I was a kid at school - can't imagine any item of clothing I would less like to wear myself, but just LOVE the way they look on sexy female bums!!!
