There are several things which might help. A moderated rating system for example - something which could work in several ways on an automated basis:

I'm mailing this idea to griff to see if he thinks it's possible and viable as an idea to help the quality of membership while keeping the site free.

I know that LeeEC has already answered that "some do, some don't". In my (probably rather limited) experience, the natural colour of a lady's eyebrow hairs will give you a pretty good indication of what to expect down below! (and bear in mind that many ladies with very light-coloured eyebrows will often colour them!). If she's a blonde but with black eyebrows, chances are pretty good the bush is black too... I've checked out his correlation whenever I have had opportunity over the years, and there seems to be a pretty good correlation.

My wife & I have been together for 7 years now and have along the way been abused and stared at continuously. If people have such tunnel vision and disrespect then that is their problem. I cannot abide small minded people.
We are open to all on this site and have no issues with colour, creed or size, but understand that some people have their own preferences. Our profiles states that we don't converse in Afrikaans, OUR choice. They only thing I find a little insensitive is the people who just put 'no blacks' on their profile, very rude in my opinion, there are ways & means. But having said that I have found that there are quite a lot of very rude people on this site.
Horses for courses is a great saying and to me sums this up. If you like something then go for it, if you don't like something, leave it alone. If we all liked the same this would be a fecking boring place.

I know the feeling. I was married to an indian lady and the stares we got was very uncomfortable. It wasn't just the whites that were staring but even other indians. It became so bad that she never wanted to out anymore and it took a toll on our marraige until we had our divorce.
I don't know if you have ever noticed but it also happens where white couples have adopted black babies. People just stare. It is because it is not a norm.
We are an afrikaans family and my father was very old school. He even belonged to the police force, he never had time for black people. That is sad to say. When we moved to Botswana after a few years he left my mother and married a black lady from Botswana. I reckon it is also about being ostrisized, you don't want to be the odd one out. Peer pressure played and is still playing a big part of it.
I for one have no problem and have had chocolate, and liked it.
