Hi there, I am heading to Pattie today anytime from 11 am on, if anyone wants to join just msg me at peman. I have been exploring Pattie as well as looking at best times and spots and notice a few people having trouble with unwanted ppl around. Pattie is a great place but what makes it so hard is, it's so time dependent. I am busy this week exploring more places in and around PE and will post what I find in the next week or so.

We ( Funcouple_2009 ) were at Pattie on the weekend, just note to all wanting to go, if you see a big truck with canvas on rear parked there, becareful as there were several +- 10 "workers" collecting seaweed in area and they stopped above us hoping to get eyeful and only left when i stood up and stared back at them.. some had hi vis vest on not sure if they were there to clean or work .. but several of them also tried passing very close to my wife and i.. made us feel very uncomfortable as it was very quiet and what seemed to be only us and them.. between the rocks on the left..

Thanks for the directions. So...once at the parking area you have a choice of going left or right. Do you guys normally go left (back towards the light house) or right towards the shooting range...?

How to get to Pattie...go in the reserve at Pine Lodge( u have to get a permit at reception first) then you follow the road towards the light house. At a stage there is a road turning to the right which goes to Pattie(there is a sign board) then follow this road till the end. Once there u have two choices, either walk on the beach right of the parking towards the shooting range side or go left on the beach back towards the light house...a lot of secluded spots between the rocks and gr8 open beach...that's where we go (to the left direction of the light house...)

If you say "The Pattie", do you refer to the coast line just west of the parking area inside the park (the one going west - hence not the light house) , or do you mean far west towards the shooting range..?
