Just a question... I mean, if I am in the street and come across an attractive woman, and I wink, it is just a way of saying 'I see you and find you attractive' nothing more. However on SH, there seems to be the perception, rightly or wrongly, that using the wink button is lazy and an insult to the reciever. If this is the case, why not simply remove the thing? Just a question...
Why not personalize your wink, to ensure the recipient understands you are just complimenting them on their photo, their profile, or just that you noticed them.
It may be an introduction to yourself or just saying hello or sending a nice message.
The current *wink* is standard and all it says is to go check out a profile!
How boring is that, no wonder most profiles will not answer a wink or even just say thank you to whom ever has send it

I can remember the first time I received such winks, I could for the death of me not understand why someone would want me to go check their *profile* if nothing is there to check.I found it highly irritating.
UNTILL someone was kind enough to tell me it is suppose to be a wink.
I do change my winks regularly so it does not become what fun it is to receive a personalized wink!!!
I know I will always answer such a wink as that person took the time to make it special.
It took us ages to figure out that the message we were being bombarded with was a wink!
I have no idea why the default wink does not mention *anywhere* that it is a wink!
That is why we have personalised ours. So that people know it is a wink, and not an awkward come on...
