Does anyone know what dogging actually is

Browsing through the dogging section, it is disconcerting to see that the majority of people don't know what true dogging is.
Many of the threads state that the player is going to an adult shop at a specific time, and hopes to meet other people there.
Other posts refer to public toilets in shopping centres, or similar.

For those that are ignorant or unaware of what dogging is, it is cruising for sex with a vehicle.
It could imply that you drive to a location, and wait in your vehicle for like-minded people to arrive, and at an agreed signal (commonly flashing lights or putting on the interior light of vehicle) people will either approach the car, or get out of their vehicle and engage in sex close to, near or in a vehicle with strangers.

Visiting public bathrooms is not dogging, but cruising public bathrooms, or cottaging.
The same is true of walking around in a park. That is cruising in public.
Finding gloryholes in shopping centres or adult shops is also not dogging, but a form of cottaging.

I totally agree with you.

Dogging to me is to go to a park and arrange a couple or what ever to meet you there and have fun in the public. There is a few Parks in JHB that dogging happens and trust me it much better to do that than going to a sex shop and play there. I love the risk of been caught and it much more intense.

Pez, I am in TOTAL agreement with you! (although I don't think that there necessarily HAS to be a vehicle involved for it to be authentic dogging - original "dogging" occurred when people out "walking their dogs" came across couples playing [probably most often, but not necessarily, in cars] who didn't mind being watched, and sometimes even invited the spectators to join in...)

As far as I am concerned, it is NOT dogging unless a couple or at least a female is involved in the activity - guys looking for m2m hook-ups at the park, or in shopping centre toilets!, are just guys cruising, NOT dogging as you rightly point out.  The likelihood of finding people of the opposite sex at shopping centre toilets or so-called glory holes (between male toilet cubicles!) is so remote that I am surprised that people persist with this idea....

BUT, the Dogging page on this site has become a de facto "adverts" page, not the Dogging Locations reference page that it was intended to be.  And the users got very upset when the new website was brought in and it became just a "Locations" facility as intended, and we then had to lobby the owners to make it into an "adverts" type of page again (because folks had become used to placing their "dogging" [vs swinging?] adverts there instead of under the Personals, where they actually belong)....

So ja, a lot of what we see as "dogging" posts on those pages are nothing more than personal adverts placed in the inappropriate place (but strangely a place where others are expecting to find them).  So one has to sift through all the nonsense to find the occasional gem of a couple proposing a dogging meet-up somewhere, and the even more occasional suggestion of a new suitable dogging site...  Really doesn't happen often, and oft times there is a no-show for whatever reason, and then dogging unfortunately gets the reputation of being just "talk and wishful thinking"...  But fortunately, every now and then something really fine does happen!!! - and the true doggers are eternally grateful to those couples that are prepared to do it!!!

What we saying this are. What's the point of sex in an car with limited space. Boring so your voyeur uplift it by watching and that limited space become interesting. If can't handle eyes on you stay at home I always say
