I understand and comprehend what the meaning of "dogging" is. My question is: Is it still "dogging" if we (hubby and me).... ..... 69position

:wanker: .... in the privacy of our home, but with the curtains open? We have a clear view of the street and vica-versa.

Lady Lee, I would think that technically it is not dogging if you are in your home with the curtains open. To me that would be more straight "exhibitionism", as there is not opportunity for interaction with or by anyone else. I think that dogging would be a little more "close up". But I have been known to be wrong with definitions before! But just tell me where you live, and I'll be right over!! wink

I'm happy to watch even from a distance!

Hi Lady_Lee. I have a similar dilemma. I play with a couple. The lady is interested in dogging and asked me to arrange. Her husband will be present but will not participate. The way I understand dogging is you advertise a date and venue. My dilemma is that the lady only wants the "visitors" to watch and not take part and I don't know if that is in the spirit of dogging.

Hi Fanboot, pity you are so far away.....! We have a group of guys in Gauteng who would be just what you are looking for!...
And just being watched (and just watching) is definitely within the "spirit of dogging"! Nothing wrong with just being watched!!
Dogging originally was not "advertised" - people would go to "suitable places" (what became "dogging spots"), and knowledge about what was happening got around by word of mouth. In my view, advertising a date and venue is NOT a good idea, as you could be opening yourselves up to being inundated by responses, and even the possibility of having very unwelcome visitors - who don't know how to behave themselves and have no intention of behaving themselves - which could end up problematically.
If I was in your position, I would rather maybe advertise an INTENTION to be dogging at a suitable venue (without revealing details of date/time), and invite members to contact you directly (out of the public arena - are you aware that everything posted on the Forum can be read by any internet browser ? When someone contacts you by mail, you can then check out their profile, look to see if they are verified or not, chat with them on the site or on ?, arrange to meet with them for coffee and a chat to see if there is a good "vibe" or not, and THEN provide them with the detail of date, time and venue if you feel happy that they would know how to behave themselves, and they understand that being allowed to watch means JUST watching! I feel it's a lot safer this way, and you and the lady friend are a lot less likely to be at risk or imposed upon.

I believe I used the term "advertise" too loosely. My thinking was directly in line with your advice. I would never place an ad on this site or any other for that matter with all the details of a dogging meet for all and sundry to view.
I had not thought of meeting with potential voyeurs but like the idea. That will iron out some issues and help to set the ground rules.
I lived in Jhb for over 20 years and visit a couple of times a year. If it is ok with you I will contact you prior to my next visit and perhaps you could share some names of dogging venues I could check out.
